Eavesdropper who are you?
I'm Eavesdropper (Yves De Mey), a belgian producer making music ranging from
messed up breaks, bit rate reduced Hip Hop, glitchy atmospheres and slightly
introducing Electro-acoustic movements in my style. I work for my own
label, and i'm also doing scores for film, theatre and dance performances.
On top of that i'm doing sound design for film too.

on what records/releases have you used smartelectronix software?
So far, the only tracks officialy released since using your plugins are:
'Gusty Smith' on a compilation for The Wire magazine, 'Getraid' on Vierkant
Muziek (a compilation of new flemish music) and 'Bewitched, Bothered and
Bewildered' on '13 Belgtronic Standards' (a compilation on my own label).

in what ways do you use our plugins?
I use them in different ways (what a surprise...): Most of the time i use
them while doing the rhythmic parts of a track. Messing up things, often in
a way to look for inspiration. I just throw them in one of the busses of
Logic Audio, and then i start fiddling. On the other hand, i can exactly
predict what kind of effect they'll have on certain sounds (especially for
my electro-acoustic work), so i can use them very deliberately.
And when i'm performing live, i use them together with Ableton Live. I just
noticed i start and end most of my gigs with a Smartelectronix effected
sound.

what do you think about smartelectronix software/mentality?
It's obvious i like the software a lot. They're all off the wall plugins,
and i feel they enhance my sounds. It's like a good friend who's always
there. And i like the mentality too, and i'm not talking about them being
free, because i'm willing to pay for them. But it's good to know you can
get in touch with Smartelectronix very easily when you have some
recommendations or suggestions. And it's good to feel the love for music
and processing through the plugins.

what kind of things would you like to see in the future from smartelectronix?
One thing: steady releases for Mac. Since switching from PC to Mac, i feel a
bit abandonned... (not really, but PC users get them first. No offense though!)

do you know any other artists that use our software?
Almost everybody i know is doing music here in Belgium uses them.
